Courses
Follow a course
Open shared courses, resume your learning and understand what counts toward completion.
Your instructor or organization gives you course access. The activities and tools you see depend on the course setup, your permissions and the features available to your organization.
Menu names in this guide follow the English interface. If you arrive from an LMS, start there and follow its launch instructions; an LMS session may show only the course rather than the full SceneSnap sidebar.
Open your course
- Sign in with the account that received access or the invitation.
- Open the course under Courses in the sidebar. Use Show all to open your course list when available, or follow the link your instructor sent.
- If the course has a published path, it opens on that path. Expand a module in Course path, then select an activity; a module with submodules lists them inside it.
Without a published path, the course opens on its available content. An invitation to an unregistered email address must be accepted using that address; see sharing and permissions.
Follow the path
The path groups activities into modules and, where used, submodules. Select an activity to study its material, play its scenario or take its final quiz. The course opens on the first unfinished activity unless you followed a link to a specific one.
Use See all materials to browse the available course library. From there, See the course path returns you to the path. Draft modules do not appear in the learner path.
A Locked final quiz has requirements to complete first. Open its requirements and follow the steps shown. Other tools, such as notes, summaries, flashcards or material quizzes, appear only when the course and organization make them available.
Resume learning
In the regular SceneSnap app, open Learn → In progress to find activities you have started. Learn → Repeater lets you filter sessions by In progress, Completed or All, then choose Resume or Review.
Depending on your organization, Learn also has tabs for scenarios, flashcards and exams. Returning to a course also lets you continue through its path. An LMS launch can have a restricted menu: reopen the course from the LMS if the regular app navigation is unavailable.
Understand progress and completion
The course shows how many activities you have completed and how many are needed to finish. Optional activities remain available without counting toward completion when the course has a required path.
| Activity | What completes it |
|---|---|
| Video or document with Repeater enabled | Finish the guided Repeater plan for that material. Opening it alone starts it. |
| Video or document with Repeater disabled by the course | Open the material. |
| Scenario | Finish a run. Opening the scenario alone does not complete it. |
| Final quiz | Submit a passing attempt at the course's pass threshold. |
Answering a practice quiz or reviewing flashcards does not replace another activity's completion requirement.
A course completes when you finish every activity that counts. If the published path has no required activities, or there is no published path, all available course activities count. An empty course does not complete automatically. Completion already recorded for you stays recorded if the instructor later changes the course.
Final quiz attempts
Use Start final quiz, or Retry final quiz when another attempt is available. The course decides the pass threshold, unlock requirements and attempt limit.
If you see No attempts left, contact your instructor about resetting your attempts. A failed quiz attempt does not count as passing the activity. Passing the final quiz completes the course only when all its other completion requirements are met.
Licenses and LMS reporting
Reading materials, answering quizzes and reviewing flashcards do not require an organization license. Repeater and scenarios do. If one is required to finish your course and you cannot use it, contact your organization admin; see Licenses.
For a SCORM course, keep the LMS launcher page open while studying. It saves completion and tracked time back to the LMS. An LTI launch does not send grade or completion updates to the LMS.
If something is missing
| Situation | What to check |
|---|---|
| You cannot open the course | Check the signed-in account and ask the instructor to confirm your personal, group or organization access. |
| You cannot find a module | It may still be a draft, or its parent may be a draft. Ask your instructor. |
| You opened a material but it is unfinished | Check whether its Repeater plan still has steps to complete. |
| The final quiz is locked | Follow the requirements shown for the quiz. |
| A required activity asks for a license | Ask your organization admin to assign an available license. |
| The LMS still says incomplete | For SCORM, keep the launcher open and allow time for the next report. Check the course's required activities. |
SceneSnap records learning actions, progress and submitted answers to support the course. Authorized instructors and admins see the information allowed by their access and the organization's learner privacy policy. Aggregate mode can still show named final-quiz outcomes.
